Name your habits

Pick up to five small actions you want to do daily. "Read for 10 minutes." "Do 20 push-ups." "Write in my journal." Short, clear names work best.

Check in each day

Select a habit from the list, then click "Check in today." The mosaic cell for that day fills with the habit's color. You can check in multiple habits per day.

Watch the pattern grow

Each row in the mosaic is a week. Each column is a day. Empty cells show gaps. Solid blocks show consistency. The pattern tells the story of your effort.

Share or export

Hit "Share" to copy a link that shows your mosaic to a friend. Hit "Export" to download your data as a JSON file. Your data never leaves your browser unless you choose to share it.

Common mistakes

  • Starting too big. A micro-habit should take under five minutes. "Exercise" is too vague. "Do 10 squats" is specific and fast.
  • Adding all five at once. Start with one or two. Build the check-in rhythm first, then add more.
  • Breaking the chain. Missing one day is normal. The mosaic shows gaps honestly. What matters is that you come back the next day.
  • Ignoring the insights. Check the pattern cards below the mosaic. They show which days you skip most and which habits need attention.

Assumptions and limits

  • Data is stored in your browser. If you clear site data, your history is gone. Use Export to keep a backup.
  • The mosaic shows the last 365 days. Older check-ins are still counted in totals but may not appear on the grid.
  • One check-in per habit per day. Checking in again toggles it off.
  • Share links can get long if you have many check-ins. Most browsers handle URLs up to 2,000 characters.
